Scitech Solar is leading the charge for future generation solar cells. Our revolutionary cell design and optical rectification technology allows for absorption from the infrared (IR) to the visible in the solar spectrum. This translates into ultra high-efficient solar cells that are capable of efficiencies radically higher than today’s Silicon based cells. Since it is essentially only one element, its structure is much simpler than conventional cells and can be manufactured using less expensive materials that do not degrade over time. Our technology will pave the way to bring more cost effective energy to everyone, everywhere.
Our single element cell can capture light from the visible portion of the solar spectrum; this is a giant leap because it is the visible portion that contains the most energy in the spectrum. Our technology uses geometrically designed antennas that act as both an absorber of radiation and a rectifier thus eliminating the inefficient processes used in current semiconductor based solar cells.
